Freeport lost to Karns City back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Gremlins. Considering the Yellowjackets have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Freeport now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Karns City, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeport will square off against Mars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Karns City, they will take on Clarion Area at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Gremlins their first taste of in-conference action this season.
