Durham is 1-8 against Colusa since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Trojans will face off against the RedHawks at 4:00 p.m. Durham will be strutting in after a win while Colusa will be coming in after a defeat.
Durham took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Quincy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Durham came out on top in a nail-biter against Quincy on Wednesday, sneaking past 9-8.
Sadie Sjolund was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Colusa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braelyn Santana, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Bella Romero also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Durham's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Colusa, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Colusa's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Durham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. It's a different story for Colusa, though, as they've only averaged .233. Will they be able to contain Durham's hitters?
Durham might still be hurting after the 9-2 defeat they got from Colusa in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
