At the plate, Anna Janis was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Ellie Davis was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
Cathedral Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Christian got the win against Academy of Our Lady of Peace on Thursday by a conclusive 10-1. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Pilots: they've now won three in a row.
Christian got a massive performance out of Lucy Sherburne, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sammy Baca, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Cathedral Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Christian, their win bumped their record up to 20-5-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Cathedral Catholic hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
