After a string of four wins, Wisconsin Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers, falling 71-51. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Wisconsin Lutheran's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Wisconsin Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pius XI Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Pius XI Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Wisconsin Lutheran likes a good challenge. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they will square off against Plymouth at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kettle Moraine Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
