Even though the Arlington Eagles scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, the West Point-Beemer Cadets still came out on top. West Point-Beemer took their matchup against Arlington 69-59. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Point-Beemer also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Point-Beemer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colten Haber, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Blaize Brockman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 3 steals.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaxson Burns, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieryn Grothe, who scored 14 points along with 3 blocks.
West Point-Beemer's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
West Point-Beemer will head out on the road to face off against Yutan at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Arlington, they will be playing at home against Lakeview on Saturday.
