Justin Wyatt Jr. produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Highland to the win on Friday. Wyatt Jr. wasn't messing around, throwing for 296 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also punching in a rushing score. The match was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Wyatt Jr. might just drop another big game when he faces off against Antelope Valley on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Wyatt Jr. saw the Antelopes), he threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Jaden Graham stepped things up a notch to give Quartz Hill the 'W'. Graham turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. He is becoming a predictor of Quartz Hill's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Quartz Hill now has a winning record of 4-3. Graham and Quartz Hill will look to defend their home field on Friday against Eastside at 7:00 p.m.

Gavin Houston's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Antelope Valley over Palmdale
Gavin Houston posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 221 yards while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 107 rushing yards in the fifth games prior.
Antelope Valley moved to 3-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Houston and Antelope Valley will play host again on Friday to welcome Highland, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.

A Season-Best Performance from Jayson Wilson Leads Lancaster over Littlerock
On Thursday, Lancaster got the W thanks in part to Jayson Wilson playing the best football he has all season. Wilson rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 108 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
The win was the fourth in a row for Lancaster, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles dukes it out withKnight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
