Osawatomie has struggled against Santa Fe Trail recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Osawatomie had strong showings from Jasper Sallee, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Jaxon Stevenson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tucker Fennel, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Osawatomie dropped their record down to 6-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Santa Fe Trail, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Osawatomie will be playing in front of their home fans against Iola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Osawatomie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Santa Fe Trail, they will head out on the road to square off against Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
