The Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions will venture away from home to  take on the Troy Christian Eagles  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Emmanuel Christian Academy is coming into the  game on  a  three-game losing streak.
Legacy Christian Academy hit Emmanuel Christian Academy with a nine-run seventh inning  on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions lost  13-3 to the Knights.
 Emmanuel Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Josh Witherow, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI. Another  was  Jack Meyer, who  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
Meanwhile, Troy Christian owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They put the hurt on Milton-Union with a sharp  6-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Judah Simmons made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Troy Christian is undefeated when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 2-3 otherwise. Simmons was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Will Twiss was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Landon Day, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Troy Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Emmanuel Christian Academy took their  win against Troy Christian  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
