Chandler Prep is 3-0 against the Dust Devils since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Chandler Prep Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Chandler Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Chandler Prep came up short against the Wolves and fell 40-31. Chandler Prep has not had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jill Mcdonald, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Lailani Hall, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Santa Cruz Valley had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Sequoia Pathway Academy 39-6 at home. The win was just what Santa Cruz Valley needed coming off of a 53-22 loss in their prior game.
Chandler Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.
Everything came up roses for Chandler Prep against the Dust Devils in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 47-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chandler Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
