Carroll will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Harlan at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Carroll, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
The struggle was real when Carroll and Ballard clashed last Friday, but the former ultimately edged out the latter 9-7.
Meanwhile, Harlan might have drawn first blood against Sergeant Bluff-Luton, but it was Sergeant Bluff-Luton who got the last laugh. Harlan fell just short of Sergeant Bluff-Luton by a score of 32-34.
Carroll's win lifted them to 1-1 while Harlan's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Carroll's success rolls on or if Harlan are able to steal their positive momentum.
