The Walled Lake Western Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Kettering Captains on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Captains by a score of 55-53. Walled Lake Western was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kettering apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Kettering got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Diego Rocha out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Nathan Bisnett was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Walled Lake Western's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Kettering, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Walled Lake Western will be playing at home against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kettering, they will head out on the road to face off against South Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
