The Wilson Prep Tigers had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They strolled past Southeast Halifax with points to spare, taking the game 24-8. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wilson Prep also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Wilson Prep found their leader in underclassman Travon Usher, who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Wilson Prep also got a significant boost from Christian Richardson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Wilson Prep's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. As for Southeast Halifax, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Wilson Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southeast Halifax also has no future games currently scheduled.
