If the Dubois Rams were riding high off their 67-46 takedown of the HEM Miners on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between Dubois and Rocky Mountain wasn't particularly close, with Dubois falling 62-47. Dubois was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rocky Mountain apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Rocky Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Hedges, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Tucker Jackson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Dubois' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rocky Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Dubois will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midwest at 5:30 p.m. on January 26, 2024. Rocky Mountain will be home for the holidays to greet Lovell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lovell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rocky Mountain in Wyoming (Lovell is ranked second, while Rocky Mountain is ranked 44th).
