The Provine Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 65-26 loss at the hands of Natchez. While losing is never fun, Provine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Natchez is ranked 76th).
It was another big night for RONIYA ELLIS, who scored 32 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds for Natchez. As a matter of fact, that's the most points ELLIS has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of CALEAH KENNEDY, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Provine dropped their record down to 2-18 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Natchez, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Provine will be playing at home against South Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Natchez, they will head out on the road to square off against Brookhaven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
