Fullerton found their leader in underclassman Kane Wetovick, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Wetovick is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Terrick Gonsior, who scored ten points along with four steals.
When it comes to explaining why St. Edward lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Reader. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 53.5% of St. Edward's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Herrera-frias, who scored three points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for St. Edward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
