The Fellowship Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Temple Christian. Fellowship Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Temple Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Fellowship Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Harper Clark, who scored 15 points. Clark continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was William Hornbuckle, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Fellowship Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-24. As for Temple Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.
Both teams will face off at 8:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Fellowship Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday.
