Hale County got themselves on the board against Sumter Central on Wednesday, but Sumter Central never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Jaguars. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Hale County pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sumter Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Hale County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-7 loss against University Charter on the 4th. As for Sumter Central, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Greensboro at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
