The St. Monica Academy Crusaders pushed their score all the way to 70 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 79-70 to More. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (67), St. Monica Academy still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Tim Selway, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds for More. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Selway has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Selway, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
St. Monica Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season. As for More, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Monica Academy will take on Desert Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Christian has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for More, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Valley Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Valley Baptist is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
