Santiago Lopez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, ITW David Speer Academy let Jonathan Pena and Keryel Figueroa run wild.
