The Parklane Academy Pioneers came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Oak Forest Academy 57-40. Parklane Academy pushed the score to 50-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Oak Forest Academy cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parklane Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Georgia Lindsey, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Halle Bennett, who scored 13 points.
Parklane Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Oak Forest Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
Parklane Academy will head out on the road to take on Bowling Green at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowling Green is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Oak Forest Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
