The Pinellas Park Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Largo Packers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinellas Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
While Pinellas Park's victory against Boca Ciega wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Pirates 8-7 on Wednesday.
Madison Wagner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on 15 hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ayanah Wilson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Bella Birge was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Largo made sure to put some runs up on the board against Indian Rocks Christian on Friday. The Packers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Packers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Largo let Mia Kabakov and Miranda Rollins run wild. Kabakov went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Rollins went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kaitlin Cheng, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Largo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Rocks Christian only posted an OBP of .300.
Largo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Pinellas Park, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.
