There's no place like home for Ottawa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rochelle Hubs on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Hubs: they've now won five in a row.

Ottawa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-19.

Leading Ottawa to victory were Bailey Etscheid and Kendall Biba. Etscheid had seven digs and three aces, while Biba had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Biba has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Ottawa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Ottawa's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-13-2. As for Rochelle, they dropped their record down to 13-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
