Oneonta extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 6 this week by beating Susan Moore, 42-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Redskins.
Sardis moved up to 161 from 220 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 36-21 win over Geraldine helped the Lions improve their standing.
Locust Fork's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Geoffrey Bramblett threw for 206 and four touchdowns and Clay Smith had 126 yards receiving. On the ground Bramblett chipped in 143 yards. Adam West helped Locust Fork's passing attack out by catching two balls for 55 yards.
On the ground, the Hornets' Bramblett has rushed for 431 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Smith. The Locust Fork star has 27 catches for 471 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region 6 this week will be when Oneonta takes on Douglas. Don Jacobs's team is in first place, while the Eagles are in fifth place.
Crossville and Kate Duncan Smith DAR played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Crossville eventually emerging with a 26-25 victory.
