The Richardson Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the MacArthur Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Richardson 3.6, MacArthur 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Richardson took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lake Highlands, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 5-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

| 03/27/26 @ Nimitz | 14 |
Cal Attel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Richardson's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Bond, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when MacArthur faced off against Irving on Friday. The Cardinals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 13-0 shutout.
Aaron Saenz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
In other pitching news, Harper Goff looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because MacArthur is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 9-10-3 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Leonardo Chavez was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Gavin Harris was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
MacArthur hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.
Richardson's record is now 17-7-2. As for MacArthur, their record now sits at 15-10-3.
Richardson skirted past MacArthur 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
