Among those leading the charge was Bailey Holman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games.
Garrett's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Depew, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Kelsey Bergman was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Angola's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Garrett, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Angola will head out on the road to face off against Norwell at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Norwell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Garrett, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Prairie Heights at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Prairie Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday.
