B District 2 (8 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012
Fox extended the longest winning streak in B District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Oklahoma Christian Academy, 48-24. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Central made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 419 from 481. The improvement came about via a 50-22 victory over Waurika last week.
Paoli's dynamic duo of D.J Moore and Aaron Webster proved tough for Allen to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Moore threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns and Webster had 51 yards receiving. Richie Nunez helped Paoli's passing attack out by catching one ball for 28 yards.
Kevin Harris was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 309 yards on 28 carries as the Bronchos topped the Mustangs. Teammate Ashton Wright added to the ground attack by rushing for 103 yards.
5-foot-8 quarterback Conner Johnson of Allen is the league leader in passing yards this season with 920. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. On the ground, Cyril's Hunter Downs has rushed for 1531 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Downs. The Cyril star has 19 catches for 448 yards.
A big matchup in B District 2 (8 Man) this week will be when the Pirates take on Central. Cyril is in third place, while Mark Perry's team is in fourth place.
Paoli led the league in scoring this week after putting up 74 points on Kenny Deaton's team. Webster ran for 240 yards in the win.
