Koa Haynes and Brandon Arconado provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Loyola. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Serra this season.
Bishop Amat and the Cubs played the closest game in the league this week, with Bishop Amat eventually emerging with a 21-16 victory. Haynes threw for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 34 yards during the win.
John Turner made the biggest impact on defense this week as Loyola fell to the Lancers. The 6-foot-5 defensive end recorded 1 fumble.
Arconado was the best receiver in the league this week as Bishop Amat topped Marvin Sanders' team. Arconado tallied 3 receptions for 85 yards. Anthony Camargo helped Bishop Amat's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
Steve Hagerty's team's Haynes and Arconado led Serra in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Haynes has thrown for 2,514 yards this season, while Arconado has 45 catches for 680 yards. Chris Colarossi from Notre Dame leads the league in rushing with 1,280 yards.
Crespi fell to Alemany 34-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Weston Massett was a bright spot for the Celts, as he threw for 123 yards in the loss.
