For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when River and Shenandoah meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Pilots skirted past the Zeps 17-15. The Pilots haven't had any issues with the Zeps recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

River's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Shenandoah, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River will head out to face off against Tyler at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Shenandoah, they will venture away from home to square off against Marietta at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
