New Life Christian Academy posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 85-25 win over Mount Calvary Christian. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point New Life Christian Academy had established a 39 point advantage.
Ty'lik Taylor and Jamir Loftin were among the main playmakers for New Life Christian Academy as the former scored 27 points along with six steals and five rebounds and the latter scored 28 points along with seven assists and four steals. Loftin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Hedgepeth, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Fellowship Baptist Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Raleigh Christian Academy at home to the tune of 65-11. The victory was nothing new for Fellowship Baptist Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
New Life Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Fellowship Baptist Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
New Life Christian Academy won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting on January 11th, slipping by Fellowship Baptist Academy 65-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Life Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
