Union City suffered their closest loss since December 2, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mississinawa Valley by a score of 54-51.
Luane Schoonbroodt put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 49% of Union City's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Oaklee Reichard was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Hagerstown's defeat was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-19. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.4 points per game. As for Union City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Hagerstown, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-25 loss to Union City in their previous meeting back in January of 2023.
