White Knoll is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Summerville is on a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The White Knoll Timberwolves will take on the Summerville Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only White Knoll walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over the Gamecocks at home. White Knoll pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Sumter had little chance of recovering from.
Sean Evans and Landon Sharpe were among the main playmakers for White Knoll as the former rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, even though Carolina Forest scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, Summerville still came out on top. Summerville took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 63-35 victory over Carolina Forest.
Their wins bumped White Knoll to 12-0-1 and Sumter to 9-4.
Everything came up roses for White Knoll against Summerville when the teams last played back in November of 2015 as the squad secured a 71-21 win. Will White Knoll repeat their success, or does Summerville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
