After a string of six wins, Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Great Hearts Northern Oaks Griffins by a score of 12-11.
Louie Hoch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Jack Fiorenza was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Hoch wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when they post 11 or more hits.
