The Purcell Dragons were the 62-46 winner over the Marlow Outlaws when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Purcell was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 47-46 to Marlow.
Marlow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Boyles out in front who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Boyles' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Blayd Harris, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Purcell's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. As for Marlow, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purcell will play host again and welcome Lexington, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Lexington is ranked 145th, while Purcell is ranked 137th). As for Marlow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 237 points over their last four matchups.
