The Overbrook Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 79-58 margin over John Bartram. Overbrook might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 21 points or more this season.
Overbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Omar Davis led the charge by scoring 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Overbrook's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahmiere Manning, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals.
The win got Overbrook back to even at 4-4. As for John Bartram, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overbrook will challenge Franklin Towne at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. John Bartram will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
