Make it eight blowout wins for the Dobson Mustangs this season. They claimed a resounding 61-27 win over Skyline at home. The victory was familiar territory for Dobson who now have three in a row.
Dobson's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahdiayh Chee, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Chee has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Lana Shirley was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Skyline struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Dobson's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Skyline, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.
Dobson will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. As for Skyline, they will head out on the road to challenge Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Red Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
