It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Harrison Raiders had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Giants 71-29 on the road. Harrison's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Riley Whitlock was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Harrison's points. Ava Ahnert was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and five steals.
The win got Harrison back to even at 12-12. As for Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-20.
Harrison is on the road again on Friday and plays the Bronchos at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Lafayette Jefferson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Raiders are ranked 146th). Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
