Mount Anthony faced Burr & Burton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with  a   2-0  win. The  victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.
The result came thanks to  Colby Hill's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up nine Ks.
 On the hitting side, Mount Anthony's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Sean Moriarty, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run.  Carson Andrick was another,  going 1-for-2 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Mount Anthony pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Burr & Burton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Anthony will face off against Rutland at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Burr & Burton, they will head out to  square off against Fair Haven  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
