The Molalla Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Hidden Valley Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Molalla sitting on three straight victories and Hidden Valley on four.

Molalla got a great performance from Kyler Dickerson as he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Dickerson has posted since back in April.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nyxon Hopping, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
14 must be Hidden Valley's lucky number: they beat Klamath Union with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Mustangs beat the Pelicans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Jack Matthew was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Caden Kuhnert was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Logan Law was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
Hidden Valley pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Molalla, their record now sits at 19-6.
