The Westville Tigers were the 47-37 winner over the La Salette Academy Lions when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Westville fell 37-30 to La Salette Academy on Saturday.
La Salette Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eamon Martin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Martin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Fitspatrick, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals.
Westville's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for La Salette Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westville will stay at home for another game and welcome Oakwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Oakwood is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for La Salette Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Paris at 7:30 p.m. Paris has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
