After flying high against the Chief Ivan Blunka Eagles last Saturday, the King Cove T-Jacks and Rookies came back down to earth. King Cove took a 36-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dillingham on Wednesday. King Cove was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dillingham apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.
MaryMae Brandell and Sierra Rocili certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Brandell scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks, while Rocili scored nine points along with five steals. Brandell is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
King Cove dropped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Dillingham, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-3.
