Dunmore extended the longest winning streak in Lackawanna 2 this week by beating Western Wayne, 56-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bucks.
Brandon Kujawski put up the best numbers through the air as Dunmore bested the Wildcats. He finished with a total of five completions for 73 yards and one touchdown. Kujawski's favorite target this week was Josh Zilla, who caught two passes for 39 yards.
Chris Roche was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 195 yards as Lakeland lost to Lakeland. Teammate Tyler Brady added to the ground attack by rushing for 103 yards.
Maritato was the best wideout in the league this week as the Hornets fell to the Chiefs. Maritato racked up three receptions for 58 yards. Kyle Carney helped Honesdale's passing attack out by catching four balls for 42 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Kevin Miller of Honesdale is the league leader in passing yards this season with 914. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Western Wayne's Robbie Siclari has rushed for 911 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ron Tomasetti. The Mid Valley star has 20 catches for 399 yards.
Al Keller's team's Siclari is a mere 89 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mid Valley takes on Jack Henzes' team. As it stands, the Spartans are in fourth, while the Bucks are in first.
Lakeland made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,946 from 6,158. The improvement came about via a 27-7 victory over Honesdale last week.
