There's no place like home for Nativity BVM, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears 10-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won nine in a row.

RYAN GRABOWSKI spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, STEPHEN KARINCH and RYAN EXAMITIS did most of the damage at the plate: KARINCH got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while EXAMITIS got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two RBI gave KARINCH a new career-high. ZENO RUGH was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Nativity BVM's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Mahanoy Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Nativity BVM will take on Allentown Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mahanoy Area, they will face off against Shenandoah Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
