On Tuesday, the Blair Academy Bucs faced the Hun Raiders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Blair Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hun 88-40 at home. Blair Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 38 points or more this season.
Hun lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabby D'Agostino, who scored 17 points. That was a full 42.5% of Hun's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. CeeJay Thomas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Blair Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Hun, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Blair Academy will head out on the road to face off against Lawrenceville School at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lawrenceville School is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Hun, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hill School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Hill School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Saturday.
