After flying high against the Burke Cougars two weeks ago, the Centerville Tornadoes came back down to earth. Centerville took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freeman on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Freeman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Aasen led the charge by scoring 18 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Aasen scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Sorensen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Freeman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerville will take on Sioux Falls Lutheran at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freeman, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Menno at 6:15 p.m. Menno is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
