Basketball Game Preview: River Valley Mustangs vs. Countryside Academy Cougar

River Valley and Countryside Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The River Valley Mustangs will take on the Countryside Academy Cougar in a tournament on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

River Valley is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against New Buffalo on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. River Valley lost 67-47 to New Buffalo. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Countryside Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and Howardsville Christian didn't end well, with Countryside Academy falling 53-36.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Countryside Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything went River Valley's way against Countryside Academy when the teams last played on February 7th, as River Valley made off with a 56-33 victory. Does River Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Countryside Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
