Connor McCann of Foresthill ran for the longest rushing play in Sacramento Metro this season against Delta last week. McCann's team beat the Saints as he sprinted for 17 yards on the play and finished with 55 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Woodland Christian beat Valley Christian 59-7,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Woodland Christian's dynamic duo of Anthony Castaneda and Walker Perry proved to be unstoppable against the Lions, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Castaneda threw for 160 yards and 6 touchdowns and Perry had 101 yards receiving. Kameron Arnold helped Woodland Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 41 yards.
Bruce Pielstick's team's dynamic duo of Castaneda and Perry proved tough for Valley Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Kevin Heater was the best running back in the league this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 183 yards as Foresthill beat Todd Conroy's team.
Chase Canevari was a key player and the best on defense this week as Woodland Christian bested the Lions. The 6-foot-3 senior racked up 1.5 sacks.
Heater was a passing and rushing force as Robert Quintanilla's team beat Delta. Heater's key target this week was Ryan Corkrean, who caught 6 passes for 59 yards.
Castaneda put up the best numbers in passing as the Cardinals bested Valley Christian.
Perry was the best wideout in Sacramento Metro this week as Woodland Christian defeated the Lions.
