Odessa suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. Their rough 55-34 loss to Almira-Coulee-Hartline might stick with them for a while.
Odessa's loss came about despite a quality game from Hayden Schuh, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Schuh has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Melloney Deife was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five steals.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Odessa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller strolled past Odessa when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilbur-Creston-Keller since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
