Blue Ridge Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Heritage Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Ridge Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Blue Ridge Christian was able to grind out a solid win over the Lions, taking the game 57-46. Given Blue Ridge Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Lions are ranked 400th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian came into Thursday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Shawnee Mission Christian by a score of 65-55 on Thursday. The win was just what Heritage Christian needed coming off of a 64-41 loss in their prior contest.
Blue Ridge Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Heritage Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Blue Ridge Christian beat the Eagles 55-46 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blue Ridge Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
