Miller suffered an agonizing 55-54 loss. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (42), T.R. Miller still had to take the loss.
T.R. Miller's defeat came about despite a quality game from Takyi Askew, who rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns. Askew was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Nathan Commander, who threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Meanwhile, even though Excel scored an imposing 39 points on Friday, W.S. Neal still came out on top. W.S. Neal took their match against Excel 46-39.
T.R. Miller's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for W.S. Neal, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2.
Everything came up roses for T.R. Miller against W.S. Neal when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 29-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for T.R. Miller since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
