The team relied heavily on Lauryn Hercules, who fired off three triples, four RBI, and one run while going 3-for-5. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Bouse, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Houston got themselves on the board against Licking on Friday, but Licking never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats 14-0. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Lilly Kincaid was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Kincaid was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Ava Koch was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Izzy Cook, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Houston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bourbon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. However, it's not like Houston struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
